Rocky Dawuni Launches “Hymns for the Rebel Soul” in Ghana!

Ghana's Afro Roots Reggae star, ROCKY DAWUNI, launched his brand new album "Hymns for the Rebel Soul" at acclaimed Accra night club Citizen Kofi in Ghana on March 14, 2010. It was a virtual who's who of the entertainment industry in attendance as well as VIPs, press from all media houses, heads of various humanitarian organizations, government officials, etc. The private event featured a listening party, video previews as well as special celebrity gaming of the new FIFA Soccer 2010 by EA which features the first track off of the new album, "Download the Revolution." The guests were treated to an open bar and delicious refreshments from 4 to 7pm and there were still people dancing after 9pm! Rocky did intense press interviews back to back as well as introduced each music video and made the rounds of tables.

The day before the launch - Saturday, March 13 - Rocky Dawuni flew back into Accra from doing radio promotion in Northern Ghana for an "in store" album signing at Accra's signature lifestyle store - Silverbird - at the Accra Mall. Rocky was rushed by fans and sold hundreds of CDs during his more than 3 hours at the event. Silverbird is one of the main locations in Accra to purchase the new CD.
